Hey It’s Freedom Friday!
Word for the Day:
Psalms 27: 1-2, 13
The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
Fear
A feeling induced by perceived danger or threat that occurs in certain types of organisms, which causes a change in metabolic and organ functions and ultimately a change in behavior, such as fleeing, hiding, or freezing from the perceived traumatic events.
Did you know fear comes to rob you of your faith? When you become fearful or worry, you’re simply saying, “God can’t.” If you are walking in fear and anxiety, you can’t be walking in faith at the same time. I know the agony of fear’s clutches. Trust me, I am familiar with the small trickle of fear that meanders through your minds until it cuts a channel into which all other thoughts are drained. How fear can paralyze you…causing you to freeze in the midst of a situation when you should be moving forward. I spent years “stuck” because of fear. Stuck in bad relationships, bad jobs, being overweight, stuck in depression and suicidal tendencies, stuck in promiscuity, stuck in debt & poverty, simply stuck in Fear!!! I had to stop focusing on all my dreadful circumstance and change my view.
Instead of being fearful or anxious, you must fix your focus on God. You can’t worry about tomorrow….there is no grace allotted for tomorrow, today! God will take care of your tomorrow when it arrives. He is in the tomorrows. It is tomorrow that fills you with dread. God is there already. All the tomorrows of your life have to pass him before they can get to you. So you gotta “live one day at a time.” Oh, believe me…the load of tomorrow added to that of yesterday, carried today, makes even the strongest person stumble.
Whatever fears, worries, or anxieties that are standing in your way, make up in your mind that today you are gonna rid yourself of fear. You’re gonna focus on the here and now and fix your eyes on God and see the goodness of Him in your life. #Time2liveFreefromFear
